Blackbelt, Founder of Paragon BJJ
Finding Jiu-Jitsu in his late teens, Franjinha immediately started training with his one and only mentor Romero Cavalcanti in Rio de Janeiro. Franjinha was awarded his Blackbelt by Master Cavalcanti shortly after his world title in 96', the culmination of 8 years of hard work after first stepping onto the mat. Moving to California in '97, Franjinha founded Paragon Academy. The Paragon legacy has flourished throughout the last decade having become a testament to its name, a true model of excellence to BJJ academies across the world.
Peter "WutangPete" Fabela has been training Jiu-Jitsu for over 10 years and is a Paragon black belt under Lance Glynn and Franjinha Miller. Active in the competition scene ranging from EBI to IBJJF. He's a 7x Five Grappling medalist, 11x Grapplers Quest medalist and a Gracie Nationals champion. Pete was introduced to martial arts at a young age by his father, an American Kenpo Blackbelt. Pete maintains an intense training schedule and, as a certified trainer, brings added skills and fitness expertise to the team.
